About Starya
Starya develops AI for complex operations. We connect artificial intelligence, software, and data to transform real business processes with security, reliability, and control.
Our platform, NebulaOS, is the foundation for building, integrating, and operating these solutions. Our work combines engineering close to customers, product development, and a foundation of data, infrastructure, and security.
The challenge
Turn complex business processes into understandable, accessible, and useful experiences. The work involves people with different responsibilities, data that changes during execution, and actions that affect other systems. You investigate the context, create alternatives, and follow implementation and use to assess whether the experience solves the task.
What you will do
- Research work with users, specialists, and Client Engineering. Deliver journey maps and research syntheses showing tasks, decisions, and difficulties, distinguishing the needs of administrators, configurators, and operators and identifying which problems justify an experience change.
- Produce interaction flows and information architecture covering states, dependencies, and permissions. Represent handoffs between people and agents, including where a task begins, how its progress is monitored, and how the user reaches the necessary action.
- Prototype interfaces for configuration, observation, and human intervention. For example, design how to review a proposed action, understand its data and consequences, and check the result, including waiting, errors, insufficient information, and recovery after an interrupted attempt.
- Validate alternatives with representative users through task-based testing and contextual inquiry. Observe comprehension, errors, and recovery paths, record evaluation limits, and turn findings into prioritized decisions with PM and engineering.
- Evolve the pattern and component library with behavioral specifications for forms, tables, filters, and feedback. Include keyboard interaction, focus, assistive reading, contrast, and different screen sizes, allowing the same interaction to retain its meaning across journeys.
- Follow development with SWE and QA, documenting interaction rules, content, and states. Verify the implemented experience, discuss technical constraints, and use adoption evidence and recurring difficulties to revisit the design after delivery.
What we look for
- Experience in digital product design demonstrated through cases that explain the problem, investigation, alternatives, and decisions. Ability to show how evidence and constraints influenced the solution and its outcome.
- Ability to conduct user research and usability testing appropriate to the context, formulate useful questions, and turn observations into findings that inform product decisions.
- Command of information architecture, visual hierarchy, and information density to make flows, tables, and forms understandable. Demonstrate these choices in implemented interfaces, considering steps, permissions, and states.
- Knowledge of accessibility and clear content, with attention to keyboard navigation, focus, labels, feedback, and understanding errors. Ability to incorporate these needs into interface decisions.
- Practice collaborating with engineering and product during implementation, including behavioral documentation, discussion of feasible alternatives, and verification of what was built against the user’s task.
Additional experience
- Experience with B2B software, operational tools, or information-dense interfaces, including journeys for configuration, supervision, failure investigation, and decision-making.
- Experience designing AI interactions, communication of uncertainty, and human review, helping people understand the source of information and the effects of an action.
- Experience with design systems, reusable components, or close collaboration with Frontend, connecting visual patterns to consistent behavior and verifiable accessibility and interaction criteria.
Your impact
A person can locate an interrupted execution, understand the stated cause, and choose an allowed action, then recognize whether the problem was resolved. Observing task completion, interpretation errors, and requests for help makes it possible to evaluate that experience and decide which parts of the flow need to change.
Who you build with
You work with PM on discovery and prioritization, with SWE on implementation, and with QA on journey and accessibility verification. FDEs and users connect the design to the operational context; AI Research helps explain model possibilities and limits that affect the experience.
